  • Yes. I will need to hear from you to better understand your circumstances and needs. However, talk therapy is not the only path to healing. If you like, there may also be times I guide you through a meditation or imagery activity in session. We may also utilize art or music in session, if you desire.

  • The answer to this question varies. This is because each person and their individual needs in therapy differ. The choice to end therapeutic services is a collaborative one. We will determine an end date together and prepare accordingly. However, you are always free to terminate therapy at any time you decide.

  • In our sessions, you will learn skills and techniques to manage the complex emotions and challenges you are facing. Our time together is intended to provide you with a comfortable space to share, while also learning how to cope in a healthy way. Through my education, trainings and experiences I have developed a substantial “tool box” to pull from to assist clients.

  • The first session, and the several that follow will be an opportunity for you to share with me anything and everything that is relevant for me to know as we begin our work together. I will be asking you a lot of questions about your current experiences and we may go as far back as early childhood. There will also be some time spent going over the expectations in sessions, confidentiality, and policies. Together, we will build out your goals for therapy and a plan for how to get there. If there are topics you would like to address in therapy, but do not feel comfortable discussing right away, I will always respect that.

  • Great question! We will meet for a free 15 minute consultation where you can ask questions and I can share more about what working with me would be like. You can decide after that consultation if you would like to move forward with scheduling sessions. If you decide at any point after that first session that things aren’t working, I am always open to helping you find referrals or connecting you with someone who may better suit your needs.

My core values of authenticity, warmth, and open-mindedness extend into my work, creating a supportive and non-judgmental space for clients.
